A cornerstone of Italian street food appetizers, mozzarella in carrozza is a quick and easy dish with great taste, thanks to its creamy inside and crunchy outside.

Ingredients

  • Crustless sandwich bread
  • Eggs
  • Flour
  • 1-2 buffalo mozzarellas
  • Breadcrumbs
  1. Crack the eggs into a bowl.
  2. Slice the mozzarella (not too thinly) and let it drain well.
  3. Place the mozzarella between two slices of bread, then press it firmly between your hands.
  4. Cut the slices into four triangles, then coat them in flour, dip them in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs, pressing again to ensure the coating sticks perfectly and the ingredients are well compressed.
  5. Fry in an air fryer or in a pan.
